My poor blog has been deserted for the last five days. I can see the tumbleweeds rolling by. However, I am now back into my routine and eager to share some pictures from my recent trip to Bermuda.
Bermuda is a short flight from NYC, sharing a latitude with South Carolina in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The temperature was in the 70s, but the humidity was high. My skin has never looked more glowing.
Click through the slideshow for a summary of my trip in pictures:
- The pristine and peaceful view from my room
- Wild chickens run wild all over Bermuda, much the way pigeons do in NYC (as a matter of fact, my dad calls pigeons “city chickens.”) The natives thought it was hilarious that we wanted to stop and look at them.
- I really wanted to go snorkeling until I saw this sign at the beach. I was content with digging my toes into the pink Bermuda sand. Yes, it’s actually pink.
- The most rugged thing I did was tour the Crystal Caves. I wore a short black and white striped Generra dress, and flat black gladiator sandals. I was dripped on a lot
- Here is our dear friend Elder, a Southern belle from Georgia. I LOOOVVVVEEED her graphic dress (from Summerville Rags in Augusta, GA–>apparently the go-to store for lovely frocks)
- Spotted the telltale red sole on a pair of classic nude Christian Louboutins
- A lovely head scarf and red plastic accessories, as seen at a twilight beach barbecue
- A sea of pastel bankers crowds the bar
- My nail polish perfectly matched the welcome cocktail we received at the beach barbecue
- A lovely journey in a lovely country
